Watermelon Granita

As most states begin to transition into fall, here in Florida we are still in summer due to hurricane season. What’s more yummy than to take that over ripened watermelon 🍉 add some spirits and make a granita! It reminds of the Bronx on a nice summer day.

  • 4 cups Watermelon, Cubed

  • ¼ cup of Watermelon Rum

  • 2 Tablespoons Agave Syrup

  • Sprig of Mint

Combine all of the ingredients in a blender. Pour the liquid mixture into a shallow baking dish. Place the dish on a level surface in your freezer. Set your timer for one hour. After an hour, remove the mixture from the freezer and use a fork to scrape through the icy mixture until you are left with slushy ice crystals. Serve in a martini glass and garnish with fresh mint. Sip!
